Ambacht and tasting heritage during 1000 years of Ichtegem
Tijdens. For the festive year of 1000 years of Ichtegem, we are putting some special crafts and historical locations from our municipality in the spotlight. Three local stories show how craftsmanship, tradition and heritage are still connected today.\r\nDiscover the unique story of Brouwerij Strubbe, a family brewery with a rich history and a tradition passed down through generations. Get acquainted with the craft behind Koffie Torenhof, where coffee is still roasted in a traditional manner on a protected heritage site. Or discover the special link between present and past at Bourgognehof, where Kings Koffie roasts coffee and chicory today at a location where chicory was historically processed as well.\r\nDuring a guided tour, you get a unique look behind the scenes of these crafts and you discover the stories behind the buildings, the products and the people who bring them to life today. Each tour concludes with a small tasting, so that you not only get to know the story, but can also taste it.\r\nChoose for yourself which tour(s) you would like to attend. Participation is free, but the number of places is limited.
