De Witte van Bel of Silver Fox, they are two nicknames that point to Patrick Steenaerts, the man who plays guitar faster than his shadow. If you doubt that Patrick is one of the best guitarists in the country, then this Invites will convince you. Patrick is currently active as a freelance guitarist, studio musician, producer, composer, and teacher at PXL Music, where he has taught the new generation of rock and pop guitarists the tricks of the trade in recent years. The list of people he has worked with is endless, to name a few: Johan Verminnen, Kris De Bruyne, Delrue, Eva De Roovere, Placenta plays Placebo, Neeka, Steppe, and Toon Walgrave. To the general public, he is known as the guitarist for Yevgueni, the group around singer Klaas Delrue, known for songs like Morgen komt ze thuis and Als ze lacht. Met Hans Mullens and Geert Roelofs form Kameel, which brought an unparalleled release concert of unseen class last season. Met Julien Tassin he redraws the contours of the guitar duo and both gentlemen show a surprising alchemy. Patrick’s musical taste is enormously broad, just like his network in the scene.
