We travel from the Meersen to the mysterious world of myths and legends, with a nod to the Celts and their festivals, rituals, and customs. And yes — the church also took a piece of the pie later on. Along the way, old stories emerge: some you vaguely recognize from your childhood, others make you prick up your ears. Why do Easter and Christmas actually have more to do with nature than you think? What do the 'tonnekesbrand' in Geraardsbergen and Scherpenheuvel have to do with old traditions? And why do names like 'Judas ear' or 'devilish oak leaves' sound just a little more exciting than they look?
