Lorsque Cécile GIROUD meets Yann STOTZ in 2010, they order a bloody mary. They exchange their common taste for singing, music, parody, burlesque then write a unique modern music-hall show of its kind, copiously varied, funny, and surprising whose watchword is >. There is indeed a lot of elegance in their attire. They wear high-fashion gowns and tuxedos with a nearly aristocratic naturalness. In short, they are chic! The problem is that despite the refinement of their attire, they will often lack it... decorum. Often closer to a duel than a harmonious duo, these two energumens, absolute fans of Monty Pythons, cartoons, French chanson, Anglo-Saxon >, cinema, B or even Z series, burlesque, and life, settle into improbable situations that nevertheless begin well and then insidiously and fatally derail to end in catastrophe...: They reinvent English to translate a political speech, they parody Paradis, Renaud, Delerm, Lemay, Reggiani, Gall/Berger, Dalida in a humanitarian song to save... a mustache, they bicker about Sanson and Sardou, they create musical advertising slogans based on cat food and pâté for a presidential campaign, they blindly embark on sign language, they lip-sync to a derailed soundtrack... but end up uniting their talents for a vibrant tribute to cinema and the greats of humor with among others the voices of Mastroianni, BB, Bellucci, Noiret, Liza Minelli and Tony Benett. Make no mistake, these unruly and mischievous students gifted in singing, piano, imitation, mime, dance, and comedy love with the greatest elegance to cheerfully cross all boundaries to go wipe their feet on the doormat of convention without anything seeming incongruous, indecent, or misplaced. In short, it is fresh, exhilarating, deliciously bawdy, completely wacky, but always, always of extreme quality.
