Good Bye Lenin by director Wolfgang Becker tells in a moving and comic way the story of a loving son who moves mountains and performs miracles to make his mother believe that Lenin ultimately still rules over the world. Goodbye Lenin was an insanely big success in Germany and caused a true “Ossie” craze to arise there. The film was awarded with the Gouden Beer at the film festival in Berlin and also dragged in the prize for best European film.
