Second week of Parkies in Sint-Niklaas on Tuesday, July 14 with Tim Seeker (musical alias of TV maker and Emmy Award-winner Tim Van Aelst) and Jukebox Heroes (master of ceremonies Kobe Ilsen with DJ Kenny Raes) > We start with Tim Seeker, the musical alias of Tim Van Aelst, the creative brain behind TV hits like Wat Als?! and Safety First . This summer he trades the familiar spotlights of the television world for the intimate stage and brings honest stories and fragile, acoustic songs about everything that makes life more beautiful and human. " Making television was fantastic, but telling stories on a small stage with a guitar about what really makes life beautiful and human gives a completely different, pure satisfaction ", says Van Aelst. > Build your own party afterwards with master of ceremonies Kobe Ilsen and DJ Kenny Raes. You decide what it will be! Do you want that one slow song to ask your crush to dance, do you long for the sing-along from your student days, do you want a 90s song to thank someone or do you have fantastic memories of George Michael, you careless whisperer? Scan, fill in, and dance! JUKEBOX HEROES plays what you want. Together we will make it a unique party. Kenny has been playing at parties for years, in discotheques and at city festivals. He plays everything live in the service of the public. No prepared sterile pre-mix sets but a la minute what the dance floor desires. Kobe is Master of Ceremony. Which song? For whom? Why? He guides the audience full of enthusiasm through the requests and dances himself as if his life depends on it. He has already been on almost all festival stages in Belgium from @rijversfestival via @hypeodream or @worstenfeestenvlimmeren along @suikerrock, @dewarmsteweek and @tomorrowland. Despite the economically more difficult times, the organizers have succeeded, thanks to the indispensable cooperation of the local authorities, volunteers, sponsors, and artists, in keeping 'the biggest smallest festival in Flanders' completely free again. As a result, an estimated 300,000 people can once again enjoy special concerts and musical evenings close to home this summer, in a green environment provided with a snack and a drink.
