NT Live 2026: The Audience

For the first time in more than 10 years back on the big screen, with Helen Mirren as Queen Elizabeth II in the Olivier and Tony Award® award-winning hit production, directed by Stephen Daldry. For sixty years, Queen Elizabeth II had a private audience every week with all twelve of her prime ministers. The name of these conversations: The Audience. Van Winston Churchill to Margaret Thatcher and David Cameron, the Queen gave her prime ministers advice on both public and personal issues. Through these private conversations, we see glimpses of the woman behind the crown and witness the moments that made a person a monarch.
