Coyote vs. Acme (Flemish version)

After years of ingloriously failed attempts to catch Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote has had it up to here. With a washed-up lawyer by his side, he goes to war against the almighty Acme Corporation. Wile E. Coyote transforms from a bloodthirsty psychopath into the Erin Brockovich of the cartoon world. A veritable David-versus-Goliath story, in which a small individual takes on a ruthless megacorporation in search of justice. Expect humor, suspense, an entertaining mix of live action and animation, and all your favorite Looney Tunes characters: Bugs Bunny, Tweety, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, and more. Regisseur Dave Green finished Coyote vs. Acme back in 2023, only to have it scrubbed from the schedule by Warner Bros. as a tax trick. The most painful fate a film can get. But that was without reckoning with the fanatic Looney Tunes fanbase: thanks to massive petitions and protests, the film was picked up after all. Result? Upon release in the US, the film finished nicely in 2nd place at the box office (only Spider-Man did better), scored an A with test audiences, and achieved a crushing 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. Not bad for a film that gathered dust in a vault for three years! And hopefully Coyote vs. Acme will receive just as much enthusiasm with us. Because this is a particularly entertaining, quirky comedy for all ages. Rating: 6
