Jamina: Westvlaamse Kleinkunst with a twist. Jamina is a West Flemish band with Hanne Nuyttens as the driving force, singer, and songwriter. She writes her music in West Flemish — not because she has to, but because it sounds the most honest that way and rolls off the tongue the easiest. The language in which she thinks, swears, and laughs: perfect for songs that turn out just a little differently than you expect. Because with Jamina, there are no dramatic love stories or heartbreak ballads. There are already enough songs for that. Hanne prefers to sing about everything that really occupies people: disapproved habits, illogical situations, recognizable doubts, and moments that gain a lot of meaning as soon as you pour them into a song. Sometimes funny, sometimes disarming, but always honest. Musically, Jamina moves between modern kleinkunst, folk, and pop, with arrangements that are as warm as they are careful.
