Rupel Sunday: guided tour of the former abbey church of Hemiksem

The Hemiksem Abbey was once famous for its many art treasures. The monastery church was richly decorated by the best baroque artists in the country. The church was demolished two centuries ago, but fortunately, an imposing painting surfaced at the beginning of the last century, which offers a unique glimpse into a lost world.
