CONCERT | Marcel sings Boudewijn

CONCERT | The idea of performing his father's repertoire had been playing in Marcel's head for a long time. With multi-instrumentalists Martin Bakker (Nits, Freek de Jonge, …) and Rens van der Zalm (Frank Boeijen, Youp van ’t Hek …), son Marcel is going to browse through Boudewijn's rich oeuvre. As one of the most famous singer-songwriters in the Netherlands, Boudewijn de Groot started as a protest singer, and later became known for, among others, ‘Welterusten meneer de president’, ‘Het Land van Maas en Waal’, ‘Als de rook om je hoofd is verdwenen’, ‘Prikkebeen’, ‘Jimmy’ … In ‘Marcel zingt Boudewijn’, the audience gets a beautiful overview with stories and anecdotes from a unique career.
