At the end of the summer holidays, smeltROES settles for the third time in the rolling landscape of Zulzeke. On Saturday, August 22, 2026, VONK, Vrijhaven en Ontmoetingsplek voor Natuur en Kunst (Safe Haven and Meeting Place for Nature and Art), and the Bibliotheek Kluisbergen join forces again for a family festival where art, nature, and wonder flow into each other.
Do not expect a classic festival site, but a place where a barn serves as an intimate cinema, stories find their way between the trees, and music and performance merge with the atmosphere of a warm late summer evening.
From film and stories to performance, circus, music, and interactive art: smeltROES brings together diverse art forms in a surprising melting pot. During the day, there is plenty of room for families, with stories, circus initiations, children's films, and a play meadow with animation on the site. Towards the evening, the program takes on a more layered and sensory interpretation, with spoken word, film, performance, and live music for young and old. Thus, the day slowly culminates in a warm late-summer intoxication that continues to resonate for a long time.
Met De Vliegende Mier (circus school Ronse), ROTA (Brussels artist collective), Kim Pauwels (writer and poet), Silke Hamers (maker and performer, known as a semi-finalist of The Voice van Vlaanderen), and Margitte (musical project of the Ghent singer-songwriter Margot De Ridder).
