Beethoven is 200 years dead.
Leve Beethoven!
Even though he was already dead before he was born
but that is…
well his life, a fight against death.
Peeters, De
Schrijver, Miller, and Van den Brande
blow the classical composer back to life.
Even though he did not like that.
Of classical.
He was rather modern.
Then.
Revolutionary.
But what was modern yesterday,
is today
of yesterday
Fortunately, he will also still be there tomorrow,
because Beethoven remains beautiful.
Even though he has been dead for so long.
‘Most are afraid to be human
They walk around all their life with the same face
That is why there is art
In it we become truly human
In art
and war
The masks fall’
A man who stubbornly tries to be his authentic self,
desperately in search of beauty and meaning.
A tormented mind, a big heart, a sick body.
‘I am satisfied with almost nothing,
I find it all bad.
That is why I think I am
so good.’
