Autumn is the ideal season to discover mushrooms. In the forest, numerous species then appear in all kinds of shapes, colors, and sizes. During this guided walk by Natuurpunt Herent, we head into the Bertembos in search of these special inhabitants of the forest.
Under the guidance of a guide, you will learn to recognize different mushrooms and learn more about their role in nature. Why do some species grow on wood and others in the soil? Are all mushrooms poisonous? And how important are they for the forest? During the walk, you get a fascinating insight into the fascinating world of mushrooms.
The activity is suitable for everyone. Families with children are also very welcome. Put on sturdy walking shoes or boots, because in autumn the forest can be wet and muddy.
