Wör & Gertjan Biasino bring with BRUEGEL IN BRABANT a performance in which music, heritage, and visual art come together. A folky time travel with the Bruegelian bagpipes under the arm. In their new concert program, the renowned Flemish folk group Wör puts the vibrant sound of the Bruegel bagpipes center stage, led by virtuoso Pieterjan Van Kerckhoven. Ancient melodies from Brabant regions, the area where Flemish master Bruegel was active, are breathed new life. Beeldtovenaar Gertjan Biasino provides an impressive visual decor with video animations that start from Bruegel's iconic paintings, in which that same bagpipe regularly plays a prominent role.
