Stoomboot sits behind the piano in a guidance center for girls where distrust slowly gives way to music that arises from shared stories, pain, and unexpected connection. Niels Boutsen, known under the stage name Stoomboot, sat behind a piano for a few months in the Rotonda, a guidance center for girls between 14 and 18 years old. In itself, it was already strange that a human was suddenly sitting behind that piano. When it turned out that that man also expected nothing, the distrust grew. Until then, the girls always had to undergo everything compulsorily: sessions with juvenile judges or psychologists. But after a while, they sat next to him more and more. They talked, sang, and even wrote a few songs together.
