Summer at Walter – Concert | Vilainella — a polyphonic meeting

Experience a special encounter between music and poetry during Vilainella — a polyphonic encounter. Celliste Liesbet Engelen weaves a musical sound tapestry around the poems of Walter Vilain, while actor Hendrik Van Eycken brings the texts to life. Together they create an intimate performance in which word and music reinforce each other and evoke new meanings. Liesbet Engelen is a cellist, composer, and teacher. As a performing musician, she worked with various orchestras and chamber music ensembles at home and abroad and combines her concert practice with composing new work. Hendrik Van Eycken is an actor, director, and teacher of word art. For years, he has been developing poetry programs and theater productions in which language, imagination, and meeting are central. This concert is part of Zomer bij Walter, an artistic summer residency in the Vanneuvillehuis where visual art, music, and meeting come together.
