Or do you sit motionless at the end of your bed, overwhelmed by the world around you? Or all together? In ROOM, you get a glimpse of an unknown soul - something intensely personal, but surprisingly recognizable. Matt McCreary, experimental parkour performer from Northern Ireland, inhabits a domestic space where furniture seems to move almost by itself and everyday objects become obstacles. Inspired by Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, he connects parkour techniques with physical theater, slapstick, and contemporary dance. Chaos doesn't have to be explosive. It can also be a silent shift, almost imperceptible. MOVEDBYMATTER – previously seen in Deinze with MYSTICA, BITBYBIT (bus trip), and CALCULATED RISK - again explores the boundary between what is visible and what moves inwardly.
