Kerk Sint-Jan Wingene, Wingene

In the autumn, we will take you on a fascinating journey through time. Within the municipality and a large part beyond, there is a beautiful, special place: the Bulskampveld. Today, most people know the Bulskampveld as the provincial domain Lippensgoed-Bulskampveld. That is not wrong, but there is more... much more.... We are namely in the Landschapspark Bulskampveld.
Together with Vertelcollectief Mandragora, you will discover what this region looked like in the past and hear unique, site-specific stories that are different every evening. In the church of Sint Jan, you will hear, among other things, the adventures of local resident and emigrant Charles Desoete, who lived and resided in the wilderness between Sint Jan, Wildenburg, and Doomkerke.
There are 4 storytelling evenings at special locations:
Domein Menas (Maria-Aalter) – October 23
Kasteel Gruuthuyse (Oostkamp) – November 20
Kerk Sint-Jan (Wingene) – December 11
Psychiatrisch Centrum Sint-Amandus (Beernem) – December 18
Program:
7:15 PM: reception
7:30 PM: Introductory word with information about the location
8:00 PM: stories from the Landschapspark Bulskampveld (by storytelling collective Mandragora)
9:00 PM: closing drink
Participation costs €5 per person per evening. The number of places is limited to 60 per location. Registration for multiple evenings is possible.
