In Difference

In Difference is a performance in which two artists, Jef Everaert (BE) and Marica Marinoni (IT), investigate their mutual differences via the Cyr wheel. Their diverging ways of thinking, moving, and looking at the world form both a source of conflict and of creativity. The wheel functions as a shared instrument and as a symbolic space where confrontation, cooperation, and transformation take place. Instead of striving for fusion or harmony, the performance shows how two individuals can exist next to each other without hierarchy. Through a physical dialogue without fixed rules, they develop a hybrid movement vocabulary that breaks with traditional circus techniques. Gradually, the wheel itself seems to come to life, as a result of their continuous interaction. It is not for nothing that Knack tipped this performance as one of the best of 2025.
