July 11th Celebration

On Friday, July 11 at 11:00 AM , an official ceremony will be held at the Cultuurcentrum Scharpoord on the occasion of the Flemish Community Day, with a welcome by the Mayor. After the welcome speech, there will be a performance by De Vlaamse Jukebox. In this unique program, we bring a carefully chosen selection of top hits from Flemish music: classics from well-known names to hidden gems and songs from the 70s. From strong lyrics to compelling tracks that will make you jump right out of your chair. The special part? You help determine the setlist. Just like a real jukebox, the audience chooses what is played, and singing along is, of course, allowed! All this is brought to you by an experienced team with a strong reputation, namely Soetkin Collier, Kevin Van Staeyen, Philip Masure, Paul Zegers, and Ruben Appermont. An interactive performance full of emotion and atmosphere! The July 11 celebration is traditionally concluded with a song of the Vlaamse Gemeenschap, followed by a reception.
