Opening of hostilities

It is a playful attempt and an exercise in thought that Marie Devroux and her team propose to us: that of imagining a society rid of capitalism. The task seems quite arduous. Precisely, that is what motivates the project, which presents itself as a practical, accessible, and humorous manual to answer a question that seems unsolvable to most of us. What is theater if not imagining impossible spaces? Opening up imaginaries? For 1h26, our mental obstacles are deconstructed live to imagine another future. Carried by a thorough documentary and theoretical research, the performers offer us a theatricalized conference with a very direct relationship to the public, stimulating our brain-muscle, but also our joy. It is the whole body and mind that are mobilized to follow this concrete utopia, which we end up believing is quite achievable. Putting their own questions, wanderings, and contradictions into play, they allow us to move forward together, and take our existences in hand. Ouverture des hostilités, a fighting title that is understood here as rolling up one's sleeves or recovering strength, to joyfully do battle with an enemy not so invisible as that, once one has understood its workings.
