, organist - "Bach ad Meridiem" series

As part of the four "Bach ad Meridiem" concerts, organist Momyo Kokubu will perform on Saturday, July 4 at 12 PM at the Cathedral of Saints Michel and Gudule in Brussels, for an organ concert exclusively dedicated to Johann Sebastian Bach. The concerts will take place in the Cathedral's Chancel. Programme: “Bach in Es-Dur” Concerto in F major BWV 971/1 O Lamm Gottes, unschuldig BWV 618 Trio Sonata No. 1 in E-flat major BWV 525 (Allegro moderato – Adagio – Allegro) O Mensch, bewein dein Sünde groß BWV 622 Prélude & Fugue in E-flat major BWV 552 Momoyo Kokubu was born in Osaka, Japan. Après Tokyo, she continued her studies in organ, harpsichord, piano, and early music at the Royal College of Music de Londres. She moved to Belgium in 1995. She has won numerous international distinctions and was a finalist in the Concours Internationaux for Organ in Freiberg and Maastricht. Momoyo is the titular organist of the Loret organ at the Church of Notre-Dame du Finistère in Brussels, where she has organized the "Lundi d'Orgue" series since 2000. Momoyo has produced six CDs of J.S. Bach and C. Franck, which received the best record awards from the Japanese magazine "Record Geijyutsu”. Momoyo gives organ recitals in Europe, Japan, and Russia. She is a member of the Baroque ensemble FILIÆ. She is continuing her complete set of Bach's trio sonatas with her 5th CD "Bach in Es-dur," which will be released this year.
