Poilvache owes its exceptional character to its dominant position over the Meuse valley.
Over nearly two and a half hectares, a 13th-century castle and its town are defended by a vast fortified enclosure punctuated by towers. Its two centuries of existence have been marked by clashes of armed troops.
Today, the ruins of the fortress still bear witness to its rich past.
