Young Scala Christmas Concert

The youthful choir talent of Jong Scala (one of the auditioned Scaletta choirs) stands this autumn in Middelkerke for an atmospheric Christmas concert. Under the direction of Stijn Kolacny, they provide together with pianist Daniel Verstappen and violist Marina Barskaya for a special evening full of warmth and emotion. Special guest Olivia Trappeniers provides extra magic with her warm voice and strong stage presence. On the program? A mix of classical and modern Christmas music, virtuoso piano and violin work, strong choir arrangements, and some surprising reworkings of world-famous songs. Daniel Verstappen and Marina Barskaya are masterful musicians who blend classical music in a stunning way with modern influences. Olivia Trappeniers stole hearts for the first time in 2016 during The Voice van Vlaanderen. In 2017, she was chosen as the very first MNM Rising Star and not much later followed her real breakthrough thanks to her collaboration with Regi. With the monster hit ‘Kom Wat Dichterbij’ — together with Jaap Reesema — she wrote Flemish music history. The voices of Jong Scala ensure that every song sounds even more intense and compelling. In combination with the musicians and the strong vocals of Olivia Trappeniers, you get a unique mix that will definitely provide goosebump moments.
