After Thomas Verstraeten swaps two Ghent façades around in a celebratory procession, he will put them on stage as scenery for a new production and invite residents of the city to set the façades to music. From a hurdy-gurdy to homemade instruments to a DJ’s turntables: a varied group of people and instruments form an alternative city orchestra to take on the challenge. What music do they associate with which type of façade? What sounds emerge from behind the façade?
