We go 'for coffee' with people or organizations that broaden our perspective.
Alegria is a meeting place for people with and after cancer and for their environment. And unfortunately, we all are or know someone like that.
Bij Alegria you are always welcome. Whether you need a listening ear, want to share your story, or just feel like an informal meeting over a nice cup of coffee, you will find a warm place there.
‘Alegria’ means ‘joy and happiness’ in Spanish. Something they try to bring into their meetings. There is room for sadness, but also for fun. Just like in the Cirque du Soleil show ‘Alegria’, they want to be a safety net for people who have lost their footing for a while.
Alegria wants to make cancer and its impact discussable and wants to support people who are going through an illness process. It is a place where you feel seen, heard, and supported, while you can also experience moments of joy and connection.
Because everyone experiences the illness process differently and has unique needs, they work in a customized way. In this way, they want to strengthen resilience to eventually stand firmer in one's shoes again and be able to continue on one's own.
How they do this, they are happy to tell you themselves with a coffee (or something else) on the side.
Come and listen, ask your questions, and discover this warm organization.
We meet on site at 10:30 AM.
