Barn Concert EMILIE MOVER & JOHN SNAUWAERT

Emilie Mover is a striking New York-based singer-songwriter, born in Canada and recently settled in Belgium.    Through her authenticity, depth, and subtle humor, where she highlights human absurdity, she engages in an intimate dialogue with the audience. Emilie's songs are innovative but also rooted in the tradition of songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen…   Already as a child, she accompanied her father, the esteemed jazz saxophonist Bob Mover, on international concert tours, and because of this, her music was unmistakably influenced by jazz, as well as country, soul, and folk.   Emilie's striking voice is gaining international recognition, leading to her songs being used in films and TV series. In 2013, she won a prestigious Canadian award, and her international fan base continues to grow.   She is currently working on her new album "Heavenly Murmur" in collaboration with the legendary producer Mark Howard (Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Rickie Lee Jones).   She enjoys visiting De Lysterscheure with saxophonist and flutist John Snauwaert.
