Socrates in America

Socrates is sentenced to death in Athens in 399 BC on the pretext of having "corrupted the youth". What would a Socrates of today become, a philosophy professor at the Duty Free University, at odds with a dean who is a fan of cancel culture and a rector applying the methods of Elon Musk? This is the question that this scathing play asks. With his students, Socrates would denounce the confusions, he would speak the contradictions, he would try to bring back a little reason and civility, but that will not prevent him from being carried away by the madness of the times. A play to reflect and to resist.
