Visit to Park Cemetery Schoonselhof: Antwerp memories
Sat, 24 Oct 2026 · 14:00
Hoofdingang Schoonselhof, Antwerp
€12–15
Paris has Père Lachaise, Antwerp has the Schoonselhof.
Since 1921, the old castle domain Schoonselhof has been the public cemetery of Antwerp.
The domain on the border between Wilrijk and Hoboken grew into an impressively beautiful final resting place for famous figures from Antwerp culture, politics, and science. Van Hendrik Conscience to Herman De Coninck, Peter Benoit, Robert Mosuse, Camille Huysmans and Hugo Schiltz, they are all buried there.
Many grave monuments are works of art. They reflect the different visions of life and death. Your guide will lead you along the military and Jewish sections and to monumental, idyllic, and moving final resting places.
Meeting at 13:45 at the entrance Krijgsbaan/Sint Bernardsesteenweg.
