Auster Loo Collective

Het Auster Loo Collective provides a breath of fresh air in acoustic and improvised music. The musicians bundle their diverse backgrounds and use them as a starting point to create their own sound world. Led by percussionist Simon Leleux, who has been crossing musical traditions and continents for years, the group develops a language that couples personal vision with influences from diverse styles and cultures. What emerges is a universe built on curiosity and connection. Atmospheric, sometimes subdued melodic lines stand alongside rhythmic, energetic pieces. Each musician provides a recognizable contribution, creating a sound in which the Japanese koto plays along with the West African kora, in which piano and double bass blend with flute, Iranian setar, percussion, and vocals.
