A performance like a heartbeat
Inspired by Rainer Werner Fassbinders dark, theatrical visual language, Louis Janssens weaves a cinematic mosaic of encounters, memories, desires and passion. The seven queer actors of ‘Amour’ throw their voice and body into the battle to tell a universal story about how love shapes and determines our life. They seem to form one body, speak in one breath and alternate continuously between male, female and everything in between. Rhythmic fragments of (non-)fiction complement each other in a swirling performance about giving, losing, connecting and suffering.
