Bruno Vanden Broecke

Lasse Vonck was proclaimed and acclaimed as a child prodigy by press and public as a young artist. Thirty years later, that is no longer the case. That people have forgotten him over the years, he finds a bearable fate, but he is lost; he is looking for a goal, meaning. On a spring day without luster, upon waking, Lasse is so alienated from himself that he no longer really knows who he is. He can no longer even speak. Confession is inspired by the timeless and peerless story De Gedaanteverwisseling van Franz Kafka. It sketches a portrait of the human as a silent protest. This new theater text by Raven Ruëll is performed by Bruno Vanden Broecke. Together, Raven and Bruno have been making performances for 25 years, including Missie (2007), Para (2016), and Klink (2023), which were shown in our theater. Over the years, their collaboration has only become more powerful: Raven weaves compelling stories about essential themes in the simplest, most accurate words. Bruno is all too happy to immerse himself in these types of people and portraits.
