Historic gatehouse in good hands

In de Sint-Norbertuspoort on the historical site of Abdij van Park has been home since 2018 to Library of Voices: a high-tech laboratory for scientific and practice-oriented research into musical heritage from Lage Landen. De Alamire Foundation transformed the former gatehouse into a hyper-modern documentation centre focused on Gregorian chant and Franco-Flemish polyphony. Today it serves as the home base for Alamire Digital Lab, which travels the world for the digitisation of precious musical sources. Ook de Alamire Sound Labs are established there: state-of-the-art sound laboratories in which acoustics and polyphonic music can be analysed and unravelled.
