Bosbaden of Shinrin-Yoku originates in Japan. ‘Shinrin’ is Japanese for ‘forest’ and ‘Yoku’ means ‘bath’. Shinrin-Yoku thus means bathing in the forest or the forest atmosphere or absorbing the forest through our senses.
It is not exercise (walking, jogging,…), but simply being in the great outdoors and connecting with it through our senses.
Forest bathing is like a bridge. By opening our senses, the gap between man and nature is bridged. And when we are in harmony with nature we can heal: our nervous system can reset, our body and mind can return to how they should be. When we are in harmony with nature, we feel refreshed and restored.
Open yourself up and completely immerse yourself in nature.
The session takes place in a small group, guided by Rika Van De Walle.
