LA BEDOUNE (FR) 21/06/2026 At our bimonthly Ma’Blues sessions in Kortrijk, it is always about starting the new week with a good feeling. The warm sounds of soul and blues music lend themselves perfectly to that – if desired, combined with a tasty snack. That has remained our fixed format for more than 5 years. We mainly want to create connection . Our visitors experience the sessions as a moment to let go of their worries for a while and just experience some happy moments in a warm, safe atmosphere – just like the cotton workers who found comfort and joy in the 1920s in the experience of the blues in the real juke joints in America. With LA BEDOUNE (FR) on our stage, we travel to the muddy waters of the Mississippi. Dit Franse duo won the Franse Blues Challenge in 2019, reached the semi-final of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2020, and two years later even the final of that same event. LA BEDOUNE consists of Cécile Perfetti, to whom the group owes its name, because of her soft cow eyes and her lush hair that gives her a bit the appearance of a… cow! But an elegant and graceful cow, as her beloved partner, both in life and on stage, Greg Perfetti, assures. He is an atypical as well as charming character who, behind his appearance of bad boy and his dandy-like appearance, hides a truly sensitive heart! La Bedoune a paragon of sincere generosity. The duo always gives everything, both during their concerts and on their three albums, where the French-sung work and Cécile's subtle and delicate poetry form a beautiful addition to songs that have been written with special care in the language of Louis Armstrong.
