Ciska Ciska is the project around Ghent singer-songwriter Ciska Dhaenens, who sings straight to the heart with fragile power and a golden voice. With subtle guitars, sparse piano, and controlled drums, she builds an intimate, dreamy world in which vulnerability is at the center — until it suddenly breaks open and is allowed to grate. Her music moves somewhere between indie and americana, in the vein of Julia Jacklin, Adrienne Lenker (Big Thief), and Aldous Harding. With a strong live band behind her, she has already performed in the Koningin Elisabethzaal as support for Jamie Cullum and played shows with Bluai and Ivy Falls. Debut single ‘Biotope’ struck a chord immediately and her debut album is on the way!
