Storytelling performance "The Laws of the Swamp"

The performance starts promptly at 7:30 PM. Everyone is welcome from 6:30 PM to also visit the exhibition [re]present at the same location. During the storytelling, Rien Van Meensel will take you to the year 1246, to a place on the border of land and water. To a time when people are trying to survive between flooding, poverty, and a changing world. You will listen to the story of a father and his two daughters. They lose everything and look for a way out in the marsh. A story about loss and survival, about freedom and progress, about what disappears and what takes its place. When the land is reclaimed and the water recedes, not only the landscape changes, but also the people who live in it. Let yourself be carried away to a vanished world of water, mud, and mist with its specific marsh fauna and flora. And discover what is lost when we bend nature to our will.
