Forest event (Week of the Forest)

Curious about how the municipality manages the park on the Pietersheim estate? Then come to the forest happening on October 11, 2026. Domein Pietersheim is a patchwork of lanes, forests, orchards, hedgerows, hay meadows, ditches, and ponds. A 3 km route has been mapped out, where you can participate in various workshops along the way, such as nature-inclusive building, fun facts about mushrooms, birds in the forest, soil animals in the spotlight, and scooping water animals. Volunteers will immerse you in the world of wild foraging (edible plants) in the food forest. At the old beech lane, you will get more explanation about the ongoing LEADER project ‘P-LAND-T-GOED Pietersheim’. You can depart between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM from the parking lot of the petting zoo. Registration is not necessary. Dogs are allowed, but only on a leash.
