Concert JEN (acoustic) and Poetry Geert Viaene

JEN is the pop-rock project of the 24-year-old Jente Neels. With a fresh sound, crystal-clear hooks and choruses that nestle in your head, JEN is a name to keep an eye on. Her songs combine compelling melodies with a raw edge, carried by a voice that sounds both fragile and powerful. In the music scene Jente is no stranger: she previously played as a musician (guitarist, bassist and vocalist) with, among others, Sylvie Kreusch, Jan Verstraeten and Ratmosphere and is currently a guitarist with Pommelien Thijs. Poëzieperformance Geert Viaene Geert Viaene (1963) is an educator, street musician and poet. His poems were included in the anthology ‘Het Gezeefde Gedicht’ (2015) and in various literary magazines such as Het Liegend Konijn, Kluger Hans and Meandermagazine. In his collections 'Eistijden’, ‘Tussentij’ and ‘Waagzin’, global issues are addressed, but there are also stories in them that are interwoven with the writer's own life world.
