The walk through the Kollintenbos is always the perfect opportunity to discover the area in the different seasons. July is full summer, and this time of year is mainly about enjoying it if the weather cooperates. This is also the period in which the hay meadows are mowed according to a phased mowing schedule, where certain parts are never mowed. With this, we not only manage for a richer plant diversity, but we also try to give different animal groups extra opportunities, such as mice and invertebrates. Pay close attention to south-facing forest edges and the flowers that grow there at this time of year; they are busily visited by a whole range of insect species. The guided walk, with a guide from Natuurpunt, is approximately 2.5 km long and will take about 2 to 2.5 hours. In case of rain, boots are recommended. Advance registration is recommended so that we can notify everyone if the activity cannot take place (due to weather conditions).
