A trip down memory lane. The fifties, sixties, and seventies. When people still went dancing all night to live music!
In every village and every city, there were small orchestras. Musicians were on the road all weekend to play a dance somewhere with dedication and craftsmanship. They not only played all the hits of their generation, but through the arrival of the radio and jukebox, they also became acquainted with rock 'n' roll and Anglo-Saxon pop.
In the eighties, with the rise of the DJs, the dance orchestras unfortunately disappeared. The best musicians found shelter as backing or accompanying musicians for famous solo artists. But now the dance orchestra is back with The Chachas. This phenomenal band is composed of musicians who, in a (distant) past, scoured all the road cafes, casinos, chic hotels, and theater halls with their orchestras.
The Chachas have hundreds of songs in their repertoire, in all possible rhythms, styles, and genres such as polkas, waltzes, and evergreens. Whether it is a song by Tom Jones, Will Tura, ABBA, or Jerry Lee Lewis, they play the roof off with the sole purpose of keeping you on the dance floor for an afternoon!
Dans met mij tot morgenvroeg is the ultimate tribute to those musicians who taught Flanders to dance in the second half of the twentieth century and gave everyone so much pleasure. Relive the atmosphere and dance pleasure of the dance orchestras together with The Chachas.
