I am Farnoosh. I live in a house, at the foot of a mountain, I am Farnoosh. My room overlooks two worlds: the colossal mountain that stands like a guard outside my window and the steel birds that have been whizzing by for a while. Every time the clouds gather threateningly, my family and I flee the storm, waiting for a softer breeze, before we return to our big city. Echoes of the mountains is a visual symphony in which live music and illustrations merge on stage. A timeless story about a girl who, in the midst of a turbulent period in Iran, struggles with questions about identity and connection.
