Always summer – a musical family performance on the farm

Always Summer is an interactive music theater performance for families with children aged 6 and up, performed on real farms. With live music , humor , and active audience participation, children and adults experience an imaginative story together about the seasons and the importance of balance in nature. An eccentric professor tries to use a machine to make summer last endlessly . But nature cannot be forced: the heat becomes unbearable, animals panic, and everything threatens to fall out of balance. Only a wise farmer and the audience can help restore the balance together. The music was composed especially for this performance and consists of original Dutch-language compositions , performed by a classical soprano and jazz musicians. This makes every performance a unique, interactive experience in which music, theater, humor, and suspense are central, in a place where the seasons are palpable every day. This family performance is suitable for children aged 6 and up . The first series of performances consists of five shows that take place on beautiful farms in the Meetjesland and Leie Valley – a unique opportunity to combine culture and nature! After each performance, you can enjoy a tasty drink or a local snack, provided by the farm itself. This project is made possible in part by the rural program LEADER and aims to bring farmers and citizens closer together. A unique concept where play, music, and farm life come together.
