Commentaar
Met a completely unique artistic style and occasionally a touch of black humor, Zaven Najjar brings an incisive adaptation of the novel of the same name by Ahmadou Kourouma, one of the most important French-African writers of the twentieth century. Animation proves itself once again as a perfect medium to tell incisive stories, such as that of child soldiers. Allah n'est pas obligé won the audience award and the award for best feature film at Anima Filmfestival.
