Few instruments are as intertwined with the forest in their origin as the horn. That is why the Korpus Kwartet brings the instrument back to its roots in this performance. Do not expect traditional hunting music, but a completely new approach. These four young, Belgian horn players worked together with composer Siebe Thijs to integrate insights from the bestseller ‘The Hidden Life of Trees’ by forester Peter Wohlleben into a brand-new piece of music: WALD. Look, listen, and feel along with what a wonderful world full of emotions and energy lies hidden between the sturdy trunks of the forest. This musical performance is preceded by a walk of approx. 3.5km through the Heidebos. We gather at 9:30 am at parking 2 (Knokkestraat, Wachtebeke). The parking lot has limited capacity, so come – if you can – by bike or carpool with friends. Dogs are not allowed.
