30 years PARTY!

Artis Dulcedo is turning 30, time for a PARTY! Where do we prefer to celebrate that? In Concertgebouw Brugge of course! Celebrate with us, on the program Schumann (Violin Concerto) and Beethoven (Pastoral). At the end of 2026, the Bruges symphony orchestra Artis Dulcedo, under the direction of Niels Hap, celebrates its 30th anniversary. Artis Dulcedo counts over 60 musicians and celebrates this party with two masterpieces from the classical repertoire. Beethovens Pastorale, his sixth symphony, inspires and moves. Beethoven dedicated this symphony entirely to nature. He lets dancing farmers, whistling and chirping birds, an approaching storm, a light breeze be heard. Artis Dulcedo gladly takes you along on this musical nature walk. Violiste An-Sofie Perneel is accompanied by Artis Dulcedo in Schumann's violin concerto, one of his last major compositions. The violin concerto - long consciously put away after Schumann's death - is an insanely beautiful masterpiece in which Schumann's fragility can be heard in the delicate, gossamer-thin notes.
