Day trip to Maastricht

Maastricht is the ultimate destination for a Burgundian day trip. The city breathes history, is bursting with unique boutiques, and offers an unparalleled atmosphere. What can you expect? We start our day with a tour through Maastricht with the sun train, which takes us in an environmentally friendly way past the most famous sights in the center, including the characteristic Markt and the atmospheric Vrijthof. When we are back on shore, we take a walk towards eetcafé Minckelers on the Markt, where we are expected for lunch around 12:30 p.m. After lunch, we head to the Bisschopsmolen for a guided tour of the oldest watermill in the Netherlands. You don't see them often anymore, a real watermill, and certainly not in the center of the city. De Bisschopsmolen currently houses an artisanal bakery where the most delicious pies and the tastiest rolls come out of the hot oven. Naturally, during this tour, you will get to know the beautiful craft of the miller extensively. The harvesting of ancient grain to the milling of flour and various other interesting facts are presented in an enthusiastic manner. More info and registration
