In the Detroit of the 70s, a romantic worker is lured into a trap by a ruthless gangster after falling in love with his girlfriend. After years in prison, he returns with only one goal in mind: revenge. Regisseur Ponciroli tells the story not through words but through the raw physicality of the actors, the sharp editing, and a thundering soundtrack of rock and disco. A stunning stylistic exercise and a virtually wordless, exciting nocturnal ride through the streets of Detroit. With echoes of Drive, Le Samoura, and John Wick, the film, carried by a hypnotic soundtrack, builds inexorably towards an explosive finale. Motor City had its world premiere in September 2025 at the Venice Film Festival.
