Many guitars, one voice
‘Many guitars, one voice’ brings guitarists from LUCA School of Arts – from first-year bachelor students to master students – together in a concert that explores the many timbres and possibilities of the guitar ensemble.
The program varies from intimate duos, with music by Mertz, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, and Albéniz, to the rich and colorful sound world of Moreno Torroba’s Estampas and Pachelbels Loose Canon. The concert reaches its climax with performances by the LUCA Guitar Ensemble, with works by Paulo Bellinati, Jürg Kindle, and Leo Brouwer, in which rhythms and musical landscapes are explored varying from Brazilian jongo and techno to Cuba-inspired music.
